I'M BACK FROM JAPAN!!!

actually, i've been back for quite a few days now (though i wish i could rewind myself back to hokkaido). not surprisingly, i've been suffering from the usual post-holiday withdrawal symptoms. more about this later. after spending an insane amount of time uploading all the photos from the trip on facebook, im too exhausted to blog proper. but i will, soon!

see, i told you talking about my travel adventure always gets me excited. if i go on telling you about our crazy gps adventures, this is gonna be a VERY long entry. so i'll save that for my real hokkaido post! 

meanwhile, i'd better get some sleep. had a boring day as usual, and i spent half of it following the latest on the xiaxue vs dawn saga. it started with that very boring day in the office, i was bloghopping when i saw that very exciting xiaxue entry (yes, the original one!) which led me to the links of dawnwayang and some random forums. then everyone got so kaypoh, and soon we were all looking at dawn's pre-surgery photos in disbelief, spreading links around and.. yeah, you get the picture. oh well, good entertainment for me since im so free online! so now this whole thing has been blown out of proportion, with the whole lawsuit issue and even made the headlines on ST! no joke man, ST is like serious stuff! like every other bored soul online, im gonna keep my eyes peeled for latest updates! if you are as bored as i am, and you do know who xiaxue and dawn are (im not kidding, some people don't!), waste some time away here!

GOOOOOD NIGHT WORLD!

sigh, i just got played out by caroline quah. AGAIN. 
ARGHHH. there goes my afternoon! i was planning to escape from the office for a bit so i could walk around bugis and kill some time. but i guess im not really surprised, heh.

the weekend's almost over! is it just me, or do weekends fly by extra fast?
saturday felt like a busy day. browhaus in the afternoon, gary chaw in the evening. 

gary's concert was pretty good! he seems to look better in person (maybe its the make up) rather than on tv. so, we watched the best male singer in our 3rd concert of the year (not counting spop) and surprisingly, it was pretty good! i wasn't expecting much from it, honestly. i mean, gary compared to jay chou and david tao? i would expect him to pale in comparison. but no! he had by far the best stage of the year, and he sang ALL the songs we wished he would. 


would have been better if yang zongwei went up to join him though!
when we saw aska on the screen (there was this audience camera), we got so excited!

mummy even wanted us to shout YANG ZONGWEI at the count of three, but we refused. mummy was so cute/funny during the concert, clapping along and fanning herself with the cardboard thing they gave us. i think she was bored though, since she bought the ticket for daryl but he couldn't go because of the ndp rehearsals.

and what better way to end the concert than with our favourite song -- 世界唯一的你!

gary talks quite alot of rubbish when he isn't nervy though. and genie zhuo was okay initially, but her solo performance was so piercing! gary's friend (the other guest star) was so pitiful. everyone used his solo as a toilet break! seriously, singaporeans! what's with the impoliteness! i don't understand why EVERYONE just has to go to the toilet. they wouldn't have done so if gary continued to sing, right? sheesh. 

sooooooo, no more concerts for the year (i think!) unless we manage to get some free tickets. ANYONE BUYING A PHONE FROM SINGTEL AND WANTS TO GIVE/SELL AWAY THE FREE JAM HSIAO SHOWCASE TICKETS AT DRAGONFLY ON 10 AUGUST? please, contact me because i'm dying to go!

after all this time, i still think 4 years is way too long.

i like dining at interesting places (which do not make me feel uncomfortable) some times. places with huge comfy cushions or sofas that we can all fight for! i guess its always like that, because everyone loves the softest, most gimmicky seasts. just for the record, they aren't always the most comfortable. and so we learnt.
